Logo Design Brief
Toquefest is a new winter street festival in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The first annual Toguefest will be on February 12th 2011 on 17th Avenue SW. "Toque" is canadian for wool cap. The event is being developed by the Uptown 17 Business Revitalization Zone www.uptown17.ca and will incorpoarte elements for all ages and interests including:
- Ice sculpture
- Sleigh rides
- Street perfomers/artists
- "Uptown Throwdown" an urban snowboard jam
The retailers, restaurants and service providers of 17th avenue will involve themselves in various ways including patio parties, hot chocolate, celebrity guests.
This logo/design concept will be featured on sponsorship proposals, flyers, posters, web, tee-shirts and of course Toques!

Great work everyone.
Upon review here are a few ideas I would like to see:
1. A toque itself as the logo with the wordmark as embroidery
2. A toque on top of one of the letters 'O' or "Q' in the wordmark
