Logo Design Brief

Hi Everyone,

I have an old prestigious UK property website called www.homesforsale.co.uk which I will shortly be redesigning myself and maybe with the help of a graphic designer.

I am looking to rebrand the website and have a clean and modern look and feel to the whole website and logo.

I am therefore looking for a new logo to be designed for the website and maybe some ideas of colours which I could use for the website also.

The logo should have both text "Homes for Sale" and pictorial part which is related to homes or the searching of a new home for your family. I do want the logo to be trendy/funky and modern/contemporary but also to look professional.

Some websites that this will be similar to are rightmove (.co.uk) , findaproperty (.com) and your-move (.co.uk). I particluarly like the modern feel of the findaproperty logo.

As mentioned, I will be designing the website myself but if you had any ideas of a good color scheme in the logo I would use these for the website/brand colours.

I am open to ideas so will leave it up to your imaginations. If I see some really good ideas and want to go in a certain direction I will update the details to let everyone know.

There may be available the option to further work on developing the brand and graphics on my website in future.

A lot of people so far have gone with the pictorial part of the logo as an image of a house/home. As mentioned Im looking for something unique and modern and would like to see other types of design, for example the logo could be a modern looking for sale sign with the text on the sign, or something else related to homes. Or even something to do with searching/looking. Im not that interested in magnifying glasses. Im looking for something unique which I can brand. I.e. a unique mark or something else related to homes but not usually seen in most property logos.
