T-shirt Design Brief
Virgin here. Yes, THAT Virgin, but not the mobile phone or the space ship. We're the Virgins who get people fit and healthy and reward them for doing so. And we need a new t-shirt!
We're US-based Virgin HealthMiles, and our members - the ones who will show off your design - are making the decision to get off the couch and do something about their health. They're getting more physical activity, they're eating better, they're tracking all the healthy things they do and getting rewarded for it. Using our awesome program.
We want you to design a t-shirt using one of the following taglines as text (please use this copy EXACTLY):
- Branson is my homeboy
- I don’t get active. I get awesome.
- Track this
- Cool kids wear GoZones
- Virgin HealthMiles: It’s so money
- What did I win? Cash. What did you win? Two tickets to the gun show.
- If at first you don’t succeed, maybe you should put on a GoZone
- This shirt was tight on me 2 months ago
- Step away from the fridge
- Yes, you may tell me how good l look
- I now fit into my high school jeans (I just choose not to wear acid-washed)
- Ask me about my GoZone
The design MUST BE typography focused. Include additional graphics if you feel they are really key to your design concept, but they can't distract from the copy.
The Design MUST also include our logo (see attached), but this should not be front and center.
We're going to pick our 10 favorites, and our members will vote on the winners.
Target Market(s)
US men and women, 25-65, wide variety of fitness levels, income levels, occupations. Think more San Antonio than San Francisco.

Must have
- - The design must be typography focused. Only include additional graphics if you feel they are really key to your design concept
- The design should be clean
- The design must include the Virgin Health Miles logo but this should NOT be the focus (i.e. NOT front and center)
- Keep a neutral-colored shirt in mind when designing.
Should not have
- - We don’t want to put parameters on your designs, but we don’t want you to bust our printing budget, either. Try to stay within the more conventional printing areas (14” x 14” on front and back), but if an oversized wrap-around or all-over design is critical to the success of the work, go ahead. But it’d better be good.
- Same goes for the number of colors you use. Try to stick with one or two. Any more than that better be for a really good reason!
