Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a new company based in Minneapolis, Minnesota called 'Shelf Saver'. 'Shelf Saver' provides operational software solutions for food pantries/shelves so that data can be captured more efficiently and those in need can be served with more compassion and dignity.

The product drives the operations of a food shelf capturing client, volunteer & donor information. It is the only software product, of its kind, in the food shelf industry, that has a scale directly attached to a database where the weight of the food is captured by a computer touchscreen.

The uniqueness of the "touch of a button" technology drives the food shelf operations. Client's food is weighed out, donations are weighed in, and volunteers use the touch screen for tracking of volunteer hours and responsibilities.

'Shelf Saver' has been given the label "elegant" by hunger relief leaders in MN. In the software world, elegant means - "high design" "functional" "efficient". The product was designed with the volunteer (often elderly) in mind - easy to use, simple, functional, which has resulted in a less physically demanding environment and more time to "serve clients" building a compassionate shopping experience for those in need - dignified human experience.

With 'Shelf Saver', all you do is push the grocery cart up on a low to the ground scale ramp and press the "grocery cart button" and the program automatically takes off the weight of the cart and captures the weight of the food - in fast speedy time!

In regards to colors, we would like the colors - red - apple color (food, love, passion) and a yellow - banana color (happiness, hope, compassion) for the logo. We want to reinforce these feelings when hunger partners, food shelf workers & volunteers see our logo. The food shelf volunteer shows such love, passion, & compassion when serving clients.

'Shelf Saver' is efficient and "fast" and uses "cutting edge" - "touch screen" technology so we don't want to "scare away the elderly volunteer or food shelf worker" so incorporating POSSIBLY a "traditional" flare of a small piece of a "red/white checkered table cloth" with the reputation of being "durable" & "strong" will provide comfort with the new technology.

Colors of preference are a RED / YELLOW colors - pulling the feelings of love, hope, happiness and compassion - combined in one logo.
