Logo Design Brief

I need a logo for a new business called (The) Vonnegut Group.

This is a higher education consulting business specializing in (1) helping two-year and four-year institutions form partnership that increase rates of successful student transfer in science and mathematics fields, and (2) helping institution develop interdisciplinary training programs. I expect the Vonnegut Group to evolve in time, so logo ought not reflect these specialties.

The logo ought to be a clean, somewhat conservative, stylized representation of the company's name. It should project solid professionalism, creativity, and progressive thinking.

Thank you for responding to my query to DesignCrowd for a business logo.  I know that there's a premium placed on 'guaranteed' queries, so I'm doubly thankful for your participation.

Tomorrow morning, I'm going to create a poll that will share your designs with people I respect.  I'll give them a couple days to reply, and then I'll select one of your designs to use for my business.  Yes, this is a de facto guarantee that I'll select a design from those shared with me.

I wanted to thank all designers for taking time to contribute their ideas to my project.  Each logo design was creative, responsive to my needs, and made me want to select it as the winner of this competition.  But I can select only one.  And time constraints and other forces beyond my control require me to close the competition and choose a winner today.


This is the first time I've used a service like DesignCrowd, and I will recommend it to others who need similar design assistance.  I will also recommend each of the designers that participated in my project.  Please let me know what I can do to promote your work to your audience.
