Logo Design Brief

bandwagon is a platform that allows bands to find and book concerts (gigs) and musical tours across the UK (and soon Europe and the US). Bands create a profile to showcase their music, and then can search and apply for gigs.

One of the core values of bandwagon is that the service is artist-focused, with an emphasis on helping musicians manage their own careers, find valuable opportunities, and get paid.

We would like to see designs with a strong emblematic element, making use of boldly creative typography to communicate the ethos of the brand. It would be nice to have a logo that can be used both online as well as in print and on t-shirts and sweatshirts, so it should be nicely scalable and adaptable.

We particularly like "badge" type logo designs, as well as "sticker" types, and "shield" types. While we mainly want the logo to revolve around typographic elements, we are happy to consider creative graphical elements as well, so long as they are not clichéd.

If the design involves musical instruments, there must be a range of instruments: we do not want anything that focuses on a particular type of instrument, and do not want anything that uses guitars as a major element of the design. We are not a rock band!

We like strong, bold colours. The logo should be iconic, emblematic, and instantly recognisable. bandwagon will sit along music services such as SoundCloud, BandCamp, TopSpin, TuneCore etc, as a key platform for artist management.

The current site design will be completely reworked in line with the new logo: feel free to completely disregard ALL design elements, palettes and everything else. The new site design will be clean and uncluttered: we will however use bright green and bright orange as call to action colours, so it would be good to avoid confusion here.

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: Extending because I've had a lot of submissions in the past couple of days but have been too busy to go through them all properly.
