Logo Design Brief

We are re-branding a dietary supplement for arthritis sufferers – the new brand is ‘ArthRem’ (or ‘arthRem'). This product is anticipated to be the first in an array of similar products, so we have trademarked the ‘-Rem’ suffix and will use this for subsequent products (such as GoutRem, for example).

The primary colour palette is red and green, transitioning from the previous brand colours of blue and green (Pantone300 / R126G206B58) – it would be helpful if the previous blue was at least slightly referenced, but this is not essential.

The product works over time, providing long-term stability rather than a quick fix. It is a 100% pure extract of an ancient herb (Artemisia Annua) and the final product is a golden gel cap filled with oil. Gold is thus a potential highlight color, or may be a key element, if the capsule itself is part of the logo (see provided reference image).

The logo must be instantly recognizable amongst a stocked shelf of competing products – we want a clean, uncluttered look and feel, conveying a sense of certainty and ‘relief’.

Our deadline is as soon as possible – we need to submit copy for a promotional campaign by the 16th of July 2012.

Once the logo is delivered, we may require further work for packaging the re-branded product.

Hello Designers !

To assist the brief, we have uploaded a couple of reference images: one is of the product itself, as a 'look' reference should you wish to incorporate this. Ignore the colour, as this image was shot under a very warm white balance: the actual colour is a more classic gold. The second image is our rough idea of the energy/style we are looking for, without any finesse. In this image, ignore the (blue horizontal) layout lines, which could not be turned off. Essentially, this image is provided as we currently feel we would like a solid green background - but we are naturally open to any inspiring or visionary suggestion you may have !
