Logo Design Brief
Only today we noticed that in the initial brief, the words ' H O O M concepts ' have fallen off in a few sentences due to use of characters that apparently could not be used. Nothing too major, but we adjusted the briefing with the correct version, just to make sure. Also there now is a remark on the Logo text, which also fell off in the initial briefing.

We would like have a logo which will also be used as a basis of a new house style for our new furniture wholesale-venture ‘ H O O M concepts ‘, which logo can be used in communication to our B2B retail-customers as well as to the 2 ultimate end-consumer segments. The logo should also be used as basis for the separate labels of our product-categories.
Perhaps to be done by using different in color-schemes in the background or in the fonts?
Background:
H O O M concepts - a name derived of course from home concepts - is the name of a new Dutch international company which will be introduced to the market end of Q2 2014.
H O O M concepts’ primary target audience are retailers (chains and single stores) in the Netherlands and Belgium. So logo and derived labels first to be used in The Netherlands, Belgium and thereafter Germany other European countries and possbly the U.S. and Asia.
Our values - both internally and externally , will in the near future be translated into our own H O O M concepts story, and are:
• Distinctive
• Controversial
• Honest
• Human
• Personal touch
End consumers fall into 2 classes, and we will select our retailers accordingly:
- higher end of lower segment
- mid segment
We will produce collections for each of these end consumer classes in line with our mission statement:
‘ H O O M concepts focuses on the creation, design , production and marketing of high quality furniture for a variety of audiences and budgets , because we believe that everyone has the right to beautiful and durable furniture that turn each house into a home.’
For the 2 consumersegments as mentioned we will have different collections in the following product-categories:
H O O M dining
H O O M living
H O O M sleeping
H O O M kitchen
H O O M bathroom
H O O M garden
H O O M kids
In the first phase of our existence we will establish a physical wholesale company to supply furniture to physical retailers, whereas we will also supply a limited collection of home decoration items. In this first phase we will have a limited website with trade-functionality for our retail-customers and product-information for end-consumers.
