Logo Design Brief

We need a new logo for our dental wellness company. This company has 2 branches, one that manufactures and sells dental pharmaceutical products, the other provides dental plans for individuals without insurance. We want something simple, clean, modern. A little unsure about an "image" with it, but leaning towards text only. The name is also trademarked.
Including our current logo... to be clear, we like nothing about it.
