Logo Design Brief

Bamboo Village provides stylish and high quality products from around the world made from bamboo fibre such as clothing, homewares and furniture.

Bamboo is a sustainable resource that can be grown without the need for pesticides and fertlisers, making it a 'greener' alternative to organic and conventionally grown cotton.

Bamboo Village's point of difference is in the quality of the products we stock and thereby endorse. Great care has gone into researching and sampling potential products to ensure the quality, function and style of the product is acceptable, right down to the packaging and stock photography. There are many 'eco-stores' out there that stock bamboo products however most of these products are either very generic and bland or downright ugly. It is Bamboo Village's mission to make people aware that they can retain their standard and sense of style and contribute to a better environment by using eco-friendly alternatives.

So our logo needs to reflect the high quality of our products. It needs to be simple, clean and classy. It doesn't say 'hippie'. So no pandas or bamboo shoots please.

Target Market(s)

Women, mid to high income bracket, willing to spend that little bit extra for environmentally friendly alternatives but not at the expense of their personal style or comfort.
