Packaging Design Brief

We need a mock-up of branded perfume bottles for inclusion on Social Media platforms and our Wordpress site. At this point in time we need only consider the bottles themselves - outer packaging is not required.

The bottle style is a 10ml tube-drawn clear glass bottle, stainless steel roller-ball applicator and matt white aluminium overcap. The dimensions of the bottle are as follows - 80mm long (base to neck) and approximately 15mm diameter. The cap is 25mm long with diameter to fit the bottle. Images of the actual bottle and cap (in gold - not matt white) are attached for your reference - the quality of the images is low and most likely inappropriate for reproduction but they will give you a good idea of the proportions we have to work with.

The label will be white with the BAILEY JAMES logo printed in black - also included on the mock-up will be the words "parfum extrait" to denote the product strength along with the scent name. The preferred font for this text is Helvetica and we’d like to see a range of upper, lower and sentence case options.

We have two logo designs to choose from – 2 lines and 3 lines. JPEGS of each of the logos in black are attached. If you need another format to work with please advise asap.

We would like to break up the monochromatic theme with a dash of rich pinky red - Pantone 226 is our preferred shade. This could be incorporated via some sort of basic graphical element or by printing the scent name in this shade - we are undecided and would therefore like to look at some ideas.

We have attached images of a similarly sized niche prestige fragrance product from the Frederic Malle brand - this will give you an idea of the type of minimalist aesthetics we are aiming for. Also included is a group packaging shot so you can see how the design is reworked for larger/different products.

Please be advised that we have 3 scent names that we need to mock up – more may follow.

Finally, please be advised that the perfume liquid itself will be a golden, ambery hue.
