Web Design Brief
Task Description
MACS is the major USAID project supporting the Indonesian Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (MMAF). MMAF is responsible for promoting sustainable use of fish and other marine resources for Indonesia’s long-term economic prosperity. Its mandate encompasses such issues as drafting of marine and fisheries sector policies; control of overfishing, destructive and illegal fishing practices; spatial planning for resource use; management of conservation areas; data analysis and modeling for fisheries management; and promoting the long-term welfare of fishing communities. The IMACS project is supporting MMAF efforts to achieve sustainability in the marine and fisheries sector and to improve the response of coastal communities to near-term disasters and long-term impacts related to climate change.
The IMACS project has three key thematic areas: [policy] [1], [sustainable fisheries] [2], and [climate change] [3] — as well as supporting overall coordination of [Marine Resources Program] [4] activities.

a few people have asked for reference sites - there is really no reference site we can give but I have attached a jpg for some ideas - we are after innovated ideas that will capture people's attention but which is extermely easy to use and navigate.
the main focus should be on a map on Indonesia with focal points of our three offices (and with great navigation buttons/tools).
please give us something amazing and use your design skills to make an amazing site
thanks

Requirements
Must have
- The web must have Indonesia map on the center with button on Jakarta city as headquarter, Sulawesi Tenggara (Wakatobi) as branch office and Nusa Tenggara Barat (Mataram), must have an icon for navigation on the upper, left or bottom side. Example of layout is attached (only as example). The "buttons" should then be used as navigation tools
We are after innovative ideas that with easy navigation features.
Current website is www.imacsproject.com - this is seen as too hard to navigate
Navigation Icons will also need to be developed;
- About
- Activities
- News
Library
Press releases
Publications
- Partners
- Links
site will also need to adhere to these the USAID branding guidelines
