Graphic Design Brief
We are publishing our own series of booklets on health & wellness topics, called Health Boost Guides and need an inspiring, modern design for the cover. We are beginning with the Title Diabetes: Type 2, but we will use this design for other titles later one.
SIZE:
This will be the front and back of a 8.5 x 5.5 booklet, plus 2 sample interior pages.
COLOR:
We are an industry leaders and prefer touse vibrant colors and designs to inspire our clients to change to a healthier lifestyle.
REQUIREMENTS:
I am attaching our Health Boost logo, which needs to be on each cover, but does not need to be the focal point. You may you the words health boost or just the b logo. The topic/title needs to be no lower than 1/2" from the top of the cover.
I'm attaching some samples of items I like, but please be creative!

FRONT COVER:
1. Can you please make sure the title is in the top 1.5" of the page, i can't tell from this view.
Type 2 Diabetes (1st line, bigger)
A Simple Guide to Understanding & Controlling Your Blood Sugar (Second Row, much smaller) this can also be below the 1.5" line if it needs to be.
3.We would like to see three shapes maybe toward the bottom with these words in them, one word per shape. inspire, equip, succeed
IMAGE
1. We would like you to leave a placeholder for an image, but would like to see different shapes, such as a rounded square or rectangle or a rectangle with two square corners and two rounded corners.
2. Please play with some different border options as well,
BACKSIDE
1. please put our information on the back side on the bottom, small. the information i will put in a file on the brief, the 2nd page has our address, phone, etc.
2. Add our WP logo (attached as an image in the design brief)

Reason: We are getting closer to narrowing it down, I want to give the designers a few more days to tweak their designs, then i will ask the final 2 or 3 to submit a couple version of the inside pages. I will supply text for those so you know what you're working with.

- the colors i chose are samples, does not need to include every color, each title we write will have a different color story
I can appreciate a white cover with some amazing art of pops of color, but i would also love a really rich color with subtle tone on tone things (see the navy blue cover picture)
Should not have
- boring colors, lots of pictures, typical booklet design
