Logo Design Brief

IMPACT-OC (Interpretable Multimodal Predictive Agents and Digital Twins for Ovarian Cancer) is an EU-funded research project with nine partners from Austria, Italy, the United Kingdom, France and Germany. We develop transparent, explainable AI tools that support doctors in making treatment decisions for ovarian cancer by bringing together information from medical imaging, pathology, genetics and clinical data. Patients and patient organisations are involved from the very beginning.

We are looking for a logo (combination of symbol and wordmark “IMPACT-OC”) plus social media designs for LinkedIn and Instagram. The logo will be used on the project website, in presentations, scientific posters, publications and social media, always alongside the EU emblem.

The look and feel should be trustworthy, modern and human: scientific, but not cold. We especially welcome submissions from female designers.

Target Market(s)

Women affected by ovarian cancer and their families, patient organisations, clinicians, researchers and the interested public across Europe. The logo must be scientifically credible for a professional audience while remaining warm, accessible and appealing to patients and non-experts.

• Only these two colours: dark blue (CMYK 100/99/36/36, HEX #1F214A) and pink (CMYK 7/78/11/0, HEX #E13B96) Combination mark: symbol plus wordmark “IMPACT-OC” Symbol and wordmark must each also work on their own (e.g. symbol as profile picture or website icon) Idea for the symbol: a creative combination of the letters “O” and “C”, ideally with a subtle reference to the ovary, women’s health or health in general Clearly recognisable at very small sizes (32 × 32 px) Works in full colour, black only and white only Works well next to the EU emblem Social media: profile picture and cover/banner image for LinkedIn and Instagram Delivery as vector files (AI, EPS, SVG, PDF) and PNG with transparent background, plus the font(s) used Original work with full transfer of all usage rights

Should not have

• No colours other than the two specified No graphic or anatomically detailed depictions No pink ribbon (it is the symbol for breast cancer and would cause confusion) No clichéd AI or tech imagery such as robots, circuit boards or digital brains No stock graphics, clip art or template-based designs No overly fine details or thin lines that get lost at small sizes Nothing that looks playful, childish or overly clinical
