PowerPoint Design Brief
DesignCrowd Project Description
I am looking for a designer to professionally redesign and polish a research-focused presentation deck for Pathway2Careers (P2C), an education company focused on career-connected learning, mathematics, career exploration, and workforce alignment.
I will provide two presentations for reference:
Research-Based Deck: This was initially developed with AI and should serve as the primary guide for the content, research, statistics, and overall story/flow.
Existing P2C Presentation: This should primarily be used as a reference for P2C branding, colors, visual identity, existing research sources, charts, and product information.
What I Want
The finished presentation should feel like a credible education research deck first and a P2C presentation second.
The goal is to have something we can send to superintendents, curriculum leaders, CTE directors, state education leaders, and other educators who ask:
“What does the research say about student engagement, math performance, relevance, career-connected learning, and career readiness?”
The presentation should build the case through research and data before introducing P2C.
A major emphasis should be placed on:
NAEP mathematics scores and trends
Declining or stagnant math performance
Student engagement and disengagement
Student motivation and purpose
The impact of relevance on learning
Career-connected learning
Connections between education and employment
Career readiness
Labor-market/workforce alignment
Research showing why students benefit when academics are connected to authentic careers and real-world applications
How P2C Should Be Included
P2C products should not dominate the presentation.
After the research establishes a problem or opportunity, designers can include small sections showing how P2C responds to that research.
For example:
Research → What It Means for Schools → How P2C Addresses It
Products/resources may include:
P2C Math
Math Bridge Course
Career Explorer
Labor Market Navigator
Career-connected learning resources
I do not want several traditional “product sales” slides in a row. Product information should feel like a natural application of the research.
Design Direction
I want the deck to feel:
Modern
Research-driven
Credible
Clean
Professional
Appropriate for education leaders
Visually engaging without feeling overly corporate or sales-heavy
Please use the existing P2C presentation to match our brand colors and general visual identity, but you do not have to copy its current slide layouts.
I would especially like designers to improve the presentation of research through:
Large statistics
Clean charts and graphs
Data visualizations
Infographics
Strong visual hierarchy
Minimal text where possible
Consistent citation/source placement
Section divider slides
Strategic use of P2C brand colors
Please do not remove research citations or sources. Maintaining the credibility of the research is extremely important.
Deliverable
Final deliverable should be an editable PowerPoint presentation (16:9) with all text, charts, graphics, and elements editable whenever possible.
The most important thing to remember:
Research should lead the presentation. P2C should be positioned as a solution supported by that research—not as the primary focus of every slide.
