Logo Design Brief

Certaen (legal name: Certaen LLC) is a cybersecurity and compliance company serving small and mid-size businesses. Clients are often facing formal security and compliance requirements for the first time. The brand voice is calm and direct, not fear-based or alarmist — closer to a modern B2B software company (think Vanta, Drata) than a traditional government contractor or defense/military brand.

What I need: A primary logo for "Certaen." I have a couple of specific concepts I'd like explored (below), but I'm just as interested in your own direction — don't feel boxed in by what I've listed.

Concepts to explore (not exclusive — bring your own too):

A "hidden helmet" wordmark — the letterform "T" in "Certaen" subtly incorporates the eye-and-mouth opening of a Spartan/Greek warrior helmet (the T-shaped face slit), the way FedEx hides an arrow in its negative space. Should read as a clean typographic "Certaen" first — the helmet detail is a discovered detail, not the dominant visual.
An Æ ligature treatment — styling "Certaen" as "Certæn," using the Æ (ash) character as a distinctive mark, potentially usable as a standalone icon on its own (favicon, app icon).
Your own concept — genuinely open to a direction I haven't proposed, based on the brand description above.

Brand palette: Navy blue (primary), metallic gold (accent), charcoal gray (neutral). Open to your recommendations on exact shades.

Style direction: Clean, modern, credible — comparable to Vanta, Drata, or similar B2B SaaS/compliance brands. Confident, trustworthy, protector, guarding.

Hard constraints — please don't propose these:
