I like how the name SAFFIRE is incorporated into designs (small).

Hi! I just submitted a design for the contest and would really appreciate any feedback you may have. I’d love to hear what elements you like, as well as anything you feel could be improved or adjusted. Thank you for taking the time to review it!

We're not looking to a reference to 343 here since loss of 9/11 firefighters is not relevant.
We like references to Arizona. This will be for 20 fire agencies in the state.

Stakeholders say that the periods are off. Should be P.P.E.
We don't need a period after sleep.

Thank you so much for the detailed feedback — this is incredibly helpful.

I’ve updated the design direction to better match the Arizona-wide firefighter initiative:

• Removed all references to “343”
• Kept and strengthened the Arizona (“AZ”) identity elements
• Simplified the brain illustration so it’s cleaner and easier to read at smaller sizes
• Updated punctuation to “P.P.E.”
• Removed the period after “Sleep”
• Kept “SAFFIRE” incorporated subtly as requested
• I also really appreciate the note about “Recover” being emphasized — I’ll continue leaning into that visual hierarchy and recovery-focused messaging in future revisions.

Thank you again for the guidance and stakeholder input. I’ll keep refining with these priorities in mind!
Let me know if the new design is better!

So my muse struck...
This sticker is really charming and strong for the SAFFIRE firefighter sleep message ??????

It has a great Arizona firefighter identity right away: the desert sunset, cactus silhouettes, red/orange sky, hydrant, medical cross, and the AZ helmet all make it feel location-specific instead of generic. The sleeping dalmatian is a smart choice too because it softens the message and makes the sticker feel approachable, friendly, and memorable.

What works really well

The main message is clear:
“Sleep” is huge and instantly readable, which is perfect for a sticker. People should understand it in one glance.

The dog is adorable but still on-theme:
A sleeping firefighter dalmatian makes the message feel less like a lecture and more like a supportive reminder. That is perfect for firefighters, especially if the goal is culture change around rest.

The Arizona sunset is beautiful:
The warm desert background gives it personality and makes it feel connected to Arizona departments.

The phrase “Your brain’s P.P.E.” is clever:
That line is strong because it connects sleep to firefighter safety gear. It makes sleep feel protective, practical, and job-relevant.
