I'm leaning towards the florals being too literal and hindering the use for other products if it's not just a hint of floral. I have updated the brief and included the parent company logo for reference (which is heavier than I would like).

Are you planning on redesigning the logo for the parent company or is it going to stay that way?

For now the parent company logo will stay the same.
