Logo Design Brief

I need a logo for a research-driven company that discovers and develops new medicines to fight infections caused by bacteria. This biotechnology startup was founded in Charlottesville, Virginia from work begun at the University of Virginia. The company is called "Pavilion 8 Therapeutics".

The logo design should be clean, crisp, simple, and professional - reflecting scientific advancement and modern innovation in medicine. Blues and complementary colors are preferred, as is a compact footprint appropriate for publications, slides, etc. Please, NO helix structures or shields.

I have interest in diverse designs including those in which an illustrated or otherwise stylized number eight in "Pavilion 8 Therapeutics" is the principal logo and can be used both with or without the accompanying text. Looking forward to your designs. Thanks!
