T-shirt Design Brief

I’m looking for a high-quality graphic design for the back of a t-shirt and hoodie for an offshore powerboat racing team called Outta Pocket Racing.

The design should feature:

Our race boat as the main subject (Class 1 style offshore powerboat)
Optionally include our tow rigs / trucks and trailer in the background or secondary elements
Style should be cartoon / illustrated, but still realistic and aggressive (NOT childish or overly simplified)

Style Direction:

Think high-end motorsports illustration
Similar vibe to:
offshore racing merch
NASCAR / Baja / motocross apparel
Dynamic composition (movement, speed, water spray, motion lines, etc.)
Slight exaggeration is okay, but proportions should still feel real

Color & Feel:

Bold, high contrast
Works on:
black shirts
white shirts
Red shirts
Grey Shirts
Should still look good if slightly simplified for print

Typography:
Include:

“Outta Pocket Racing” (main branding)
Optional:
race number “10”
sponsor-style layout (can be subtle, not cluttered)
also doesn't need to have sponsors on there.

Typography should match a racing / aggressive style, not script-heavy or soft.

Print Requirements (IMPORTANT):
Design must be suitable for:

DTG printing
Screen printing

So:

Avoid excessive tiny details that won’t print well
Avoid heavy gradients that won’t separate cleanly
Use clean shapes, halftones are okay if done properly
No transparency effects

File Requirements:

Vector preferred (AI, EPS)
High-resolution raster acceptable if needed
Final deliverable must be print-ready

What to Avoid:

Clipart-style boats
Generic stock designs
Overly cartoonish / childish looks
Messy compositions

If the design is strong, we’re open to ongoing work for future merch drops.

I have included reference photos as well as vector files of some of our teams elements such as our name/primary logo that will be used for the front of the shirt, logos for brands we are sponsored by. I have also included a type of cartoonish/realistic style I like.
