Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for an upcoming capital campaign for a building project for Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. The name of the campaign is "Bold Together."

The building project will do the following:
1) create welcoming, inviting spaces that encourage people to connect,
2) refresh our exterior to improve curb appeal & recognition,
3) consolidate & secure children & student areas,
4) move church offices,
5) refresh outdated internal finishes, and
6) improve accessibility throughout the building (including bathrooms).

We are attaching the following items to help with logo creation:
a) Our current church logo
b) Initial Design concepts

We want the campaign logo to feel like "Good Shepherd" but also be forward facing as we look to upgrade our facility for the next 20 years of ministry.

While we are are open logo designs, a couple of things that stood out to us from the Initial Design Concepts from the architects was the proposed light tower outside. Either the tower itself or the lighted blue design elements or colors of the tower might be something to consider in the design of this logo.

The logo could also communicate togetherness, taking bold steps, a shared journey, and movement towards the future.

We want a logo that is not overly designed and something that works in both color and black & white.

The logo could also incorporate the words "Building Campaign" or "Good Shepherd Building Campaign" as a subtext.
