Logo Design Brief

Hi, We run a very popular pet community website at PetForums.co.uk which we are planning to redesign shortly and make it more modern, clean and colourful.

We have had the existing logo since the site launched in 2007, but we think it needs an update as the colours are too dull. I have attached the existing logo.

We want the new logo to be clean and modern and brighter colours. We would like the logo to be completely different. We like the idea of having an image and text logo. The Text should be "PetForums" in a clean font, with the words "Pet" and "Forums" in different colours. The image/mascot should be quite simple and clean, could be a cat and a dog, or other kind of pet.

We like the style of the TripAdvisor logo, which I think is simple and clean and has a good unique mascot.

We also run another site called Pets4Homes which we had a logo designed on here that we really like, you can see the winning design below :

I would like to be able to use the logo in different ways, for example, with the mascot/picture on the left of the text, or above the text. Also, it would be good if the logo could be used on a white background , or easily modified so it has a version that could be used on a coloured background.

I would like the turn around on the logo to be quite quick, so have set the deadline for 2 days. But if I havent received a logo that I like by then I will extend the contest.
