Logo Design Brief
Design a logo incorporating the boat name "Aeolus" who was the Greek God of wind. The font should be modern such as Gestrom, Deltha, Damention Demo, Praetoria or another of your choosing (examples included, but again, use a style YOU think looks great). You can make it black and white, or use simple color. The boat name is normally viewed from a distance, so intricate detail may not be the best idea. Attached please find some ideas of Aeolus. I like the thought of him with wind blowing through his hair. You should create a new and unique image of him, it may be best having him in some sort of action, either pointing his finger or shooting an arrow... Your choice if you use his whole body or just his head, if lettering is above, below, in front, at the end or through his image. Whatever logo you create, it should look great on the side of the boat and also easily translate to a t-shirt for the crew to wear. Get creative! Depending on your design, we may need two versions, one for each side of the boat (i.e, if he is pointing an arrow he should be pointing forward on both sides of the boat). The boat is white, the current name is "Check Six". Please see the photo of the current boat as to how it should fit on the side.

Designers: Thank you for all the great designs. I wanted to make clear a few aspects of project. First, designs should be original art work. Please don't just cut and paste the examples I provided, they were intended to give you ideas, not be your design. Create something new. Second, your logo will be displayed on the side of the boat, in the same space as the current name "Check Six". A photo of this was provided to you so you can understand the dimensions. I would approximate that the ratio should be 1 H x 3-4 W. Designs that are square ( 1 H x 1 W) will not look good. Third, the image you create will most likely be seen at a distance, so it should be clean with very little detail. If your design has a direction (i.e. you have Aeolus pointing forward), then we will need two versions so he is pointing forward on both sides of the boat. The primary purpose is to put your design on the side of the boat, but if it easily transferred to crew shirts that would be a bonus.
