The Society for Collegiate Leadership & Achievement (SCLA) is a national honor society that honors student success and empowers the next generation of leaders.
We’re developing a signature T-shirt collection that will serve as the creative foundation for an entire product line — future merchandise (hoodies, hats, tote bags, notebooks, mugs, etc.) will all flow from the style language you establish here.
We’re looking for bold, modern, and original designs that feel like something you’d actually want to wear, not just promotional gear. Think: Nike x University meets Purpose-Driven Streetwear.
Design Themes
Create six original T-shirt designs inspired by these motivational SCLA statements:

Each phrase should have its own unique creative interpretation — through typography, layout, or minimal illustration — yet feel part of one cohesive visual family.
Creative Direction
Designs should reflect leadership, ambition, and authenticity.
Visually striking but wearable.
Sophistication with meaning.
Confident use of typography, shape, or layout.
Can mix motivational, collegiate, and lifestyle design cues.
This is a chance to define SCLA’s visual identity for future merchandise, so originality, taste, and brand intuition matter more than strict adherence.
Brand Anchors (Use as Inspiration, Not Rules)
- You’ll find brand guidelines attached for tone and palette reference

- Use them as flexible parameters, not rigid constraints.
- Logo: Include the SCLA name or mark subtly — as an accent, tag, or corner badge. It shouldn’t dominate.
- Colors: Draw primarily from SCLA’s palette (Navy #0A1E2F, Gold #F1B22E, Blue #3393D6, Light Gray #F6F6F9), but you can explore complementary tones that feel elevated and on-brand.
- Typography: Proxima Nova is our core typeface, but any clean, modern sans-serif that fits your design works.
- Mood: Collegiate + Lifestyle + Purpose. The look should inspire achievement, not just promote an organization.
Deliverables
- 6 T-shirt designs (1 per phrase)
- Mockups on at least 3 different shirt colors (e.g., white, gray, navy, maroon, or your creative choice)
- Editable source files (.AI, .PSD, or vector)
- Print-ready PNGs with transparent backgrounds

- Suitable for men and women
- Confident, minimalist, and meaningful
- Logo integrated artfully, not stamped
