Logo Design Brief
***Note - the uploaded image is simply a spitball attempt at what I want. It's less what I'm looking for and more the image I hated the least. Still, it's a direction that I felt had potential. You're a much better artist than I'll ever be, and I'd like to see what your brilliant, creative brain can do with this as a starting point.
I've started a business where I use my background in the jewelry industry to help people buy high-end jewelry. I've worked as a diamond grader, a bench jeweler, a gemstone cutter and have written extensively about diamonds and gemstones, how they're formed in the earth, how they're mined and cut, how they're bought and sold, and the cultural significance of most popular gemstones.
Most of my business will be from people shopping for engagement/wedding rings. Basically, I'll do a consult over Zoom to educate them about how diamonds and gemstones are priced, help them narrow down type of stone and setting they want, describe what to look for in a good gemstone, formulate a budget, and warn them of any pitfalls in the shopping process. I'll also provide support after the first call if they have more questions. Since I'm providing them the resources to enable them to make the best possible decision, I chose to call my venture The Jewel Mentor, because I'm empowering them like a teacher would.
I need a logo for my website and business cards that projects luxury and authority. This will be a white-glove service. I like the feel of Art Deco or Art Nouveau, but not stodgy and stuffy. I prefer deep jewel tones as a color scheme - something evoking old money, the colors of a Guilded Age mansion's library, or a trophy wife's gala gown. I'd like the logo to incorporate a gemstone outline, and it can include either jeweler's tools or a hand holding said gemstone - but do what you think looks best. It should be eye-catching, clever and luxurious. I'd say you can go more maximalist than minimalist, but ensure it can be reproduced well when scaled down for business cards. The logo will be used for website branding, business cards, and on educational materials I generate to prove to clients.

Requirements
Must have
- The image of a jewel or gemstone, a really good font, an inventive take on Art Nouveau or Art Deco themes, jewel-tone color scheme
Nice to have
- Some other image or element that projects jewelry expertise. A jeweler's loupe and tweezers aren't very aesthetic tools, but if you can incorporate them in a visually pleasing way, I'd be thrilled.
Should not have
- It must not look like it was AI generated. I will reject anything that does. Trust me, I've tried to craft just the right prompt on Sora and Dall-E to get what I want, and each time it looked flat and lifeless. I want the opposite of that.
