Lucid Ledgends Logo Design Brief
Business Name: Lucid Ledgends
Tag line: Live Epic, Dive Ledgendary, Key West F.L.
(Important: Please use my original lettering style as reference, especially keeping the dive stripe through the “S” the way I designed it. This detail must be preserved for brand identity.)
Concept & Theme
The logo should tell a story connected to the ocean and reef conservation. The central focus is an octopus holding an old-school ship’s lantern.
• The lantern is glowing, casting light into the ocean.
• A scuba diver is swimming toward the light, symbolizing curiosity and exploration.
• The scene is set in a vibrant coral reef environment with colorful corals and ocean details.
• The octopus is using one or two extra arms to replant coral, symbolizing reef restoration and giving back to the ocean.
Style
• Bold, detailed, and artistic — not cartoonish.
• Clean, scalable lines suitable for apparel printing (shirts, hats, stickers).
• Use natural ocean tones (deep blue, turquoise, coral red, sandy beige) to create a vivid but professional look.
• The octopus should look majestic, wise, and inspiring.
• The ship’s lantern should look antique.
Typography
• Use my original lettering style (see reference file).
• The name should read clearly as Lucid Ledgends.
• Keep the dive stripe integrated into the “S” in Ledgends.
• Text should balance well with the illustrated design (not overwhelmed or too small)
•For the tag line, make it a cool font but something that can be easily read when printed small
Usage
• The logo will be used on merchandise (shirts, hats, stickers) as well as digital branding and marketing.
• Final files must be delivered in vector formats (AI, SVG, EPS) plus high-resolution PNG and JPEG.
Also. If possible I would like a simplified version as well. Something I can use for embroidery. Maybe just the octopus, lantern and diver

Important Update – Please Read Before Submitting
Thank you to all designers who have submitted work so far. I want to clarify expectations to keep this project on track:
1. No AI-generated submissions. All designs must be original, hand-drawn or digitally illustrated by the designer. AI-generated images will be rejected immediately.
2. Follow the project brief carefully. Please study the details provided. Random clipart, stock images, or unrelated artwork will not be considered.
3. Vector format required. Final design must be delivered in scalable vector format (AI, SVG, EPS) with editable layers. No flattened images.
4. Style guidance:
• The design should look professional, clean, and brand-ready.
• Colors, theme, and imagery should align with the description in the original brief.
• Pay close attention to proportion, readability, and balance.
5. Creativity with accuracy. I welcome unique concepts, but they must stay aligned with the brand story and instructions.
Designers who carefully follow these guidelines will be prioritized. Thank you for your effort and creativity!

Subject: Clarification on Design Direction
Hello Designers,
First, I want to thank you for all the hard work and creativity you’ve been putting into this contest. I really do appreciate the effort that has gone into each submission.
That being said, I need to emphasize something important: I provided very specific instructions for a reason. Those details are not just random preferences — they are meant to tell a story and capture the identity of my brand. If that story and identity aren’t being reflected in the designs, then I don’t truly have a logo that represents me.
I would greatly appreciate it if someone could carefully follow the simple set of instructions I outlined. The closer you align to those instructions, the closer we’ll get to something that both works for my brand and honors the effort you’re putting in.
Thank you again for your time, creativity, and dedication. I’m really looking forward to seeing a design that aligns with the vision I’ve laid out.
