I am looking for a distinctive, intelligent logo for a personal project called The Shrinking Shrink.
The project explores metabolism, nutrition, ketogenic diets, obesity, psychiatry, neuroscience, genetics and the scientific evidence behind health.
Although the title is playful, I do not want the branding to feel humorous, gimmicky or focused on dieting. The name refers both to a psychiatrist (“shrink”) and to personal fat loss through improved metabolic health.
The overall impression should be:
“A thoughtful scientist helping people understand their own metabolism.
I am interested in subtle visual ideas that communicate:
* science
* systems thinking
* metabolism
*brain-body connection
* curiosity
* relationships between ideas
* evidence
* transformation through understanding
The project may eventually include articles, research summaries, podcasts or videos, so I would like a logo that has longevity and is not tied to one specific medium.
The logo should feel sophisticated enough that it could sit comfortably on a scientific article, yet warm enough to welcome readers who are beginning their own health journey.
Please use a clean, contemporary style rather than cartoon or clip-art aesthetics.
I am open to abstract symbols as well as typography-led designs. If using an icon, I would prefer something that suggests discovery, understanding or interconnected systems rather than obvious medical or diet imagery.
Updates
Hi. My project has changed substantially since last year and I have updated the brief in detail.
