We need an informative and creative design to revamp our trade show booth. Here's some information about our business:
Since 1983, Haakon Mechanical Services has been dedicated to installing, servicing, maintaining, and retrofitting HVAC systems throughout Metro Vancouver and the Sea-to-Sky Corridor. While our service area has remained constant, we’ve greatly expanded the diversity of services we offer.
We take care of a wide array of buildings, including commercial, industrial, institutional, and multi-unit residential properties. Our expertise covers everything HVAC, plumbing, and electrical — from intricate HVAC systems like VFF and chillers, to all types of boilers, pumps, and refrigeration systems. Furthermore, we're certified to test and service backflow prevention assemblies and propane/carbon monoxide detection systems.
Our team includes over 35 highly trained technicians, and we pride ourselves on providing unparalleled customer service, which remains at the heart of Haakon’s strengths.
Attached are very basic, first attempt examples. My critique of the uploaded designs that our team has developed internally is as follows:
Banners are like billboards—they need to tell people who we are and why they should care, FAST. The imagery and messaging should catch someone’s eye and give them a reason to choose us over the competition. Right now, our designs don’t really do that for Haakon Mechanical.
The main graphic feels a bit too busy, and the unusual shape doesn’t really match the brand vibe. The photos are pretty dark and don’t really show off the quality of work Haakon’s known for. The messaging feels really generic—there’s nothing that would make a potential customer stop and take notice.
Good design is all about consistency and attention to detail. The bottom half is overloaded with info that’s way too small to read. Plus, using too many fonts and sizes makes everything feel a bit messy and unpolished.
Haakon is a great company with great people and solid service—our current banners just don’t show that...
