1. Project Overview
QUAI 59 (“Dock 59” in English) is a cultural and event venue located on the banks of the Marne River near Paris (France), in a repurposed industrial space. It hosts concerts, exhibitions, artistic performances, and corporate events (seminars, parties, conventions).
The venue is heavily influenced by street art, with large-scale graffiti murals covering its exterior walls.
The logo should fit into this artistic environment without simply mimicking graffiti. It must be bold, readable, and distinctive, while complementing the venue's visual identity.
2. Message & Values to Convey
• A vibrant and inspiring space, where art and culture are in constant motion.
• A strong connection to the river, symbolizing fluidity and dynamism.
• A hybrid space, balancing artistic creativity with professional events.
3. Graphic & Technical Requirements
• Strong, impactful typography, suitable for both general audiences and corporate clients.
• Use of color, echoing the graffiti present on-site, but without being childish or cartoonish but should work as a monochrome version.
• The logo should not be a direct graffiti reproduction, to ensure it stands out from the existing murals. It should coexist with the surrounding street art without blending into it.
• High readability: must be recognizable at very small sizes (1 cm) and work in monochrome.
• Balanced and modern shapes, evoking a creative flow, artistic vibration, or fluid movement.
• Final format required: vector logo (.AI or .EPS).
4. Tagline Integration (Optional, if it works visually)
• “The Cultural Flow” (French version: “Le Courant Culturel”)
The logo should work both with and without the tagline.
5. References & Resources
• Photos of the venue and its murals are provided to help designers understand its identity and artistic environment.

Requirements
Must have
- distinctive font, must be recognizable easily -strong enough- and work in super small size by other logos in the bottom of a poster when partnering whiten another event or project or event/party announcement. the logo should fit in any type of music, event (jazz concert, rap, classic, cosplay business seminar, every type of event.
Nice to have
- one of the shapes that can be explored is the perfect circle that might be a good fit to contrast with the rectangle and industrial shape of the building (and iron and metallic). there is river and trees beside the venue. this could also be a lead.. ? Another possibility is the rectangle as quai means dock and platform in French. (And the venue is on one side along the river and on the other side along the railroad.
Should not have
- not a tag or graph..please!!! not too complex -see attached examples of other Paris venues
