Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a newsletter that we published each month. It is read on primarily on computers (e.g., laptops), by people who work at academic libraries. Though the Currents is read by librarians, we do not want the logo to focus on books; it is fine if there are no books at all. Also, Currents is derived from current events; it has nothing to do with electricity. We would like to see designs that use the color green. It can be based on our current company logo (uploaded) or completely new. The final design should be warm, perhaps a bit fun (but not goofy), contemplative.

Nice to have

• It would be nice to see, if a designer is choosing to include an illustration or character, someone (could be a woman, could be a stick figure-like person) reading a laptop (though not on a bean bag or too relaxed a setting)

Should not have

• I don't want an Emblem or Lettermark logo. I don't want Decorative font style.
