Logo Design Brief
We need a logo design for our new marketing consulting company, Impact Onward. Our services include marketing strategy, go-to-market and launch planning, growth strategy, and execution. We serve medical technology and health technology companies, from startups to well-established growth companies.
The name "Impact Onward" comes from the fact that all of our clients seek to achieve some sort of impact. Typically, some sort of business impact. Maybe it is to launch or grow a company or their products. Maybe it is something specific that they want to achieve in the market. What is the impact that you are looking to achieve? We will help you to achieve that impact (move toward that impact and achieve it) and we will help you continue to grow after achieving that impact (onward).
The work is part art, part science, and based on many years of successful experience. I have almost 20 years of experience doing this in the medical and health technology space. I have seen and done many of these things before. So clients are hiring someone (or a team, as the business grows) who has been there before, can help them figure it out, can help guide them, can help them make it happen, and can help them to achieve the impact that they seek.
The brand and logo should feel professional, credible, reliable and trustworthy, and should instill confidence. Also bold, creative, and modern.
Although our customer base is in the medical field, we do not want anything that is obviously medical, such as a hospital cross, the medical snakes symbol, or anything that looks like something medical, chemistry, or medical research.
I think I would like to explore these colors: blue, teal, green, orange.
The logo will be used on: website, slides (PowerPoint, Google Slides), documents, email signature, business cards, social media, and perhaps some printed materials.
The logo must work at large and also very small sizes (e.g., the small version of a company logo that appears next to the company name on someone’s LinkedIn page or on a company LinkedIn post). Perhaps one possible design option might be for “Impact” and “Onward” to stack on top of each other. But please note that I am also open to other design options.
Target Market(s)
Executives (CEO, head of marketing, head of sales) at medical technology and health technology companies, mostly in their 40s and older, well-educated, often with advanced degrees. They are strategic thinkers, responsible for budgets, and familiar with P&L. Their comfort with and trust in using outside consultants varies.
