I have been in the Graphic Design and Visual Communications industry for over 40 years.
I have even designed for city and planning.

"I want to get lots of different ideas and then narrow down on what I am after once seeing which designs I like."
This is not a good brief. You dont know what you want.

"Narrowed down" happens before writing a brief.
You can get all of that in a 10 minute google search. In 14 million styles, fonts and colors.

Find the 4 you like.
And post those. Then designers will have a starting point.

And you wont end up with 184 designs in 6 days time - that are all based on Nothing.

I am mentioning this because the brief is going to dictate the quality of the work submitted.

Good advise Franco, I have updated the brief to be a bit more descriptive although the whole reason for the design competition is to explore different ideas/options hence why I have decided to leave it a bit more open ended
