Book Cover Design Brief
Story is a sequel to "End of Flower Power" which was a trip of an old ship with that name to India at the end of the Flower Power Era. This story is the aftermath of its eventual end in the scrapyard of Formosa. It describes the rather wild return trip of the motley crew from India via |Formosa back to the US with the dramatic undertone that the maritime industry is changing from the traditional break-bulk cargo transport to the modern method of container transport. The plot also involves a heist of thousands of bottles of whisky but that is of lesser concern. Design should be simple, be in the same style (with the original design of a single wilting flower on a beach) to affect its relation to the first book. The end of glory really signiies the end of traditional break-bulk (piecemeal) cargoship transport that had been done for thousands of years.
