Logo Design Brief
I am looking to design a logo for a new company, Actualize Health. Our company works closely with physicians and patients. We work on some of the most pressing issues in healthcare - ensuring that patients get high-quality care while also working to slow down the unsustainable levels of healthcare spending in the US. The name Actualize Health is based in part on "Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs", a psychology theory that explains how people can't address high-level needs (i.e. becoming the best you can be) if you have not first addressed more basic needs (food, housing, etc). We believe this is the case in healthcare as well. We need to address the foundational needs of patients and healthcare providers if we're going to become the healthcare system we aspire to be. Maslow's theory is illustrated visually as a pyramid. I'd like to incorporate a pyramid or triangular shape in the logo. I'd like the logo to utilize shapes and/or fonts that are modern, bold, and will look good online, on mobile applications, as well as letterhead and business cards. I'd like to keep the color scheme simple (one or two colors) and avoid using the rainbow colors you often see on depictions of Maslow's hierarchy. I'm also thinking that the tip of the triangle/pyramid might be a different color from the rest of it, highlighting that "actualization" is the top of the pyramid and the level we are trying to achieve.
