Logo Design Brief

We are looking for a new logo design for our school district. We are using a company to design a new app and website for our district, and we are looking to acquire a new logo based on certain key elements that are important to our district.
Our current district logo is too "busy", and we'd like something a bit more attractive that will be used for all district media and communications.
Our official color scheme in RGB code is as follows:
Primary Colors
Purple - R70, G29, B124
Gold - R253, G208, B35
Accent Colors
Black - R0, G0, B0
White - R255, G255, B255
Grey - R211, G211, B211
