Web Design Brief

Collective strata website refresh jacksonslanding.net.au

Description:
This website is managed by the leadership of a group of buildings in Pyrmont. The area and the collective stratas are known as Jackson's Landing. The current website is messy and very dated. For the new site, we'd like to focus on a clean, user friendly design. The majority of the content on this site will be text. Most pages will use a one-pager scrolling format.

Current Site:
The current site is jacksonslanding.net.au

This site is functionally very good, but has certain issues due to its age. We are generally quite happy with the functionality of the site, despite layout issues.

Users:

The users are those who currently live or are interested in living in Jackson's landing. This group has a large demographic spread, notably including a large amount of older people. When designing remember people who may be less familiar with technology and the internet will make up many of the users of the site. 

Design:
This site should give a clean, professional and welcoming energy. It should be clean, simple and focused on efficiently displaying information to the user in an accessible and clear way.
As users typically come to the site looking for a specific piece of information or to use a service

We would like a navigation menu with the categories "Home, Services, Facilities, Stratas, About Us, Local Information, Contact”

For us to choose a winner, we would like you to design the home page, but the winner will be required to provide an example strata page (a page with some headings that link to articles below) and a standard page. They will also be required to provide all images used without charge.

If you are going to submit multiple designs or respond to feedback, please modify the menu and text layout between them. This is the most important part of the design, and multiple submissions with only minor aesthetic changes will be largely disregarded.

The boss has taken a couple of photos [sigh] so if there is a way in using them somewhere on the site please do. They are not critical to use.
You do not have to use any of the photos, and if you use others remember you must provide them free with the design.
