Logo Design Brief

We are Mandarin's Retreat, A Home for Wonky Cats in El Paso, Texas and we need a logo for our cat rescue. We provide short and long-term care for cats that are sick or injured.

Since we are a “retreat,” we'd like to see some sort of a building within the logo, but we're not married to this idea. It could be a hammock or any other thing that could represent relaxation. One exception – please do not do bathtubs, kitties do not like water.

We have to have an orange cat with a chewed off ear included in the logo, since that's Mandarin, the namesake of our rescue. We've attached a picture for reference. You don't have to include the entire cat, but the face with the chomped-off ear is crucial to us.

We'd like to see other cats in the logo, with visibly treated injuries. We have kitties that are blind, deaf, missing an eye, had broken bones etc. So, eye patches, casts, bandages etc. are all a fair game.

We'd like for the logo and the cats within to be playful. It's supposed to convey the fact that now, after having been patched up, the kitties are having the time of their lives. We're looking for funny, clever, cheeky and joyful. Don't be afraid to show us your sense of humor.
