Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for our new boat that will be a charter business. The name of the boat is Mira Sol. Mira is my grandparents last name and means to look or see. We want to use a nautical compass to represent this concept. Sol means sun. Initially we were thinking of the idea of using half of a compass combined with a dashes to represent the sun on the other half of a circle. I have attached a VERY terrible sketch idea as well as some other designs that include concepts we like. The name portion of the logo has already been created from my grandfathers' signature and handwriting. We are open to ideas that use a compass and sun to create a great logo that can be printed on the boat and used on a website and shirts as well.
