Logo Design Brief

We need a new logo designed for our organisation as part of a strategic and brand refresh. Our current logo was designed in 2014 and needs replacing.

NetNZ is a community of schools from across New Zealand who work together to provide online learning opportunities for their students based on the New Zealand Curriculum.

NetNZ’s mission statement recognises that, above all, it specialises in innovative education regardless of location:

to develop an environment for sustained innovation and development of quality, online learning experiences, for anyone, anywhere across New Zealand and beyond.

We are after a simple, modern logo that represents our core principles and values. Teal has been a core colour for us since the beginning. That colour or vairations of it would work. Blue's into greens. We are also open to introducing new, virbrant colours.

What are the key aspects of our story going forward? What sort of imagery?

Connection - using the internet to connect people and ideas. The ‘human’ factor is integral. Interweaving schools, communities, teachers, parents, learners. The use of a weave symbolism works well here.

The organic nature of what we do
A Learning exchange. There is a reciprocal exchange taking place between schools. Everyone puts in so every can take out.
Openness - removing boundaries
‘Everywhere’ learning. Learning is fully online.
Embracing complexity - knowledge building

We need a logo that somehow captures what we are about in a way that is simple, clean and modern.
