Logo Design Brief

We are the UK’s leading independent engineering plastics supplier with over 50 years of experience behind us. Oadby Plastics Ltd has been in operation since 1969, celebrating its 50th year in 2019. But our business isn’t simply about product; it’s about people. Many of our staff have grown up with the business, so we are proud of our strong history and our diverse products that are so useful in their industries.

We provide engineering plastics to industries in solid sheet or rod form, or we can machine and fabricate plastics to create products for our customers. Machining and fabricating can involve cutting, turning on lathes or bending plastics to create actual products for use.

The types of products can include large scale sewage treatment tanks made from specialist plastics that won’t leech into the earth around them to tiny ring components that are made from plastics that naturally have oil in them that make incubators and respirators work. We work in food manufacturing creating large plastic components for production lines that are food safe plastics as well as items like the clear screens used during covid.

We work in many industries including the Automotive, Infrastructure, Transport, Healthcare & Medical, Utilities, Building and Construction, Food Service and many more.

We’ve grown to include 5 branch locations around the UK with 3 sister companies who provide complimentary services to the main Oadby Plastics brand. We are a group of companies with quality, integrity, and customer service at its core.

The brief:
It’s time to bring our strong brands together under the umbrella of a group logo that captures the strength and integrity of our brands.

We’re looking for a modern logo that conveys strength and professionalism and that demonstrates the manufacturing / production industry we are in. This shouldn’t be a light or soft flowy logo; we are looking for bold and dynamic ideas. This can be fully capitalised or a mixture of lower and uppercases.

We have two core brand colours in blue: main colour Hex #002443 CMYK 100/49/0/70 and secondary colour Hex #20a8e2 CMYK 80/10/0/0. If using only one colour, the darker one should be used, but both can be incorporated in the logo.

The logo will be used on letterhead, business cards, presentations, webpages and will also be made into outdoor signage for our buildings.
