Web Design Brief

Aim
As the peak body on obesity, to be the ‘go to website’ for information about obesity and for people that are overweight or obese. Whether an individual looking for support and advice; a professional such as a dietician or a medical practitioner; an academic researcher studying the field; a related organisation specialising in cancer; diabetes or cardio issues or a policy maker

Requirements
A professional site that is compatible for viewing on PCs Mac, ipads and iphones
To include the following:
• Announcements bar – (for adding in conferences, news grabs etc)
• Search tool (for academic’s papers, terms in fact sheets)
• Secure log in (for SAB & OA directors & staff personnel for board papers etc)
• Good visuals including changing photos (should be engaging for public – see sample)
• Web sharing apps Email/facebook login and other social media; like button
• Get involved – to express interest in conferences; potential sponsors
• Ebulletin (SAB)- subscribe - emailed to a database or posted to a social media site
• OA Recommended Apps - AMA, BUPA, Mynetdiary? J&J
• OA blog
• Capture database of emails/enquiries for ebulletin and fact sheets

Mission statement and logo with words ‘understanding and action’ prominently displayed

2. For General Public - The big questions about obesity – the interaction of food (protein & fructose), exercise, epigenetics “its not your fault”, hormones (eg leptin) & metabolism. The Fact Sheets; simple summaries of latest research?
3. For Professionals - Scientific Advisory Board - SAB Ebulletins - Research and Publications
4. Media and latest news on obesity
5. Support OA in its mission– get involved – note DGR status etc.
