Logo Design Brief

We are a newly independent Methodist church located in a small Texas community. The church has been in existence for many years but has recently left a major denomination to pursue independence. We are a Christ centered, mission based faith organization with a strong local history & community presence. The church is located in the heart of the downtown area of our small town. Attached are photos of a brass cross that has hung in our sanctuary for over 70 years. We would like to use this as the basis of our new logo, noting that the cross is made up of three strands signifying the Holy Trinity. We would like the design to be classic and timeless in nature & prefer that that the color red not be used as that was in our former denomination's logo.
