Need a Logo for my construction business

For my design specs I would like to use my signature “K” that I uploaded to designcrowd, I had another designer working on it but wanted to expand my options. I’m looking for a clean professional look for the company logo. As far as colors go I think a dark / forest green or army green with a white background would look nice but I’m open to other options as well. Many construction company logos have some sort of a house or roof incorporated into the logo somehow, I am on the fence about this. I would like my logo to stand out and be different but with my Last name, Kinlaw being in the company name I wouldn’t want it to be confused with a Law Firm. I’d like to be obvious that we are a construction company so perhaps some sort of image would help with that? I’m open to suggestions or ideas

• Would be nice to have roofline above logo, professional elegant look. For colors we are thinking black and white with a matte gold accent
