Logo Design Brief

We are in need of a logo design for a new pub located in Bermuda named Calico Jack's. The pub was a former ferry that has been converted into a pirate ship specifically to operate as a bar, but sometimes to be used for tourist excursions. Our primary clientele will be cruise ship passengers, although we're certain the local community will want to join in on the fun. The ideal design would be visually catchy, but simple and one which easily transfers cost effectively for marketing purposes - both silk screened and embroidered items (i.e. shirts, hats, towels, glasses etc.). The design may be full (or partial) colour, but must convert into one colour print only.

Calico Jack was an actual pirate that sailed through Bermuda on his way to Jamaica where he was later hung due to his pirating.

• We envision a character of Calico Jack's head with Calico Jack's written on top and Bermuda underneath. However, creativity outside of that will be recognised and welcomed.
