Logo Design Brief

This is a logo design for our Dance Provincial Finals. This is the "best of the best" youth dancers across our province, we tour for several months hosting events and see over 50,000 contestants. The Provincial Finals is sometimes called the "olympics of dance" in the area because it is just a high level prestigious event to qualify for.
All of the performers are youth 5-19yrs of age. Mostly girls, some boys.
Dance styles are classic: Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Ballet, etc

USE: This logo will be be versatile and used on various items including print banners, table covers and social media images. It will also be on an Extra Large stage cyc fabric banner which is 50ft wide, please keep that in mind for design types. I have attached one of our fabric backdrops to understand what that looks like, the logo would need to have a style that it would look good on a backdrop not just in print.

Event: The event is the Global Dance Services (shortened to GDS, see logo, include logo within your logo design), Dance, Provincial Finals located in British Columbia (BC) Canada.

Wording: We would love to see options of how to word this properly on the logo without it being too wordy because "British Columbia - Dance - Provincial Finals" is a bit of a mouthful. Flexible on how it reads, please include the GDS logo attached within this logo because it is the "GDS Provincial Finals"

Notes:
British Columbia is the formal province location, BC is less formal. Event is located in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Area is full of mountains but we're not part of snowy Canada.

Must have

• the GDS Logo, something that identifies it is for "dance" if not the word dance, and "Provincial Finals"

Nice to have

• Interested in something that symbolizes BC, Mountains (limited snow) Science World, Five Sails on Vancouver Harbour. We are not fixated on having BC items but it is a possibility.

Should not have

• We are leaning towards black and more neutrals - Black, white, Grey
