Logo Design Brief

I would like something simple that has the dog image in it either as a silhouette or a few strokes of a brush. The Chinook dog breed is very rare and has 3 types of ears set (which is why it's a bit difficult to use its image as a logo). It is usually tawny in colour and they are both sled dogs and family dogs. It is only recognized as a breed in the US and I am trying to raise awareness of its existence in Europe. I am a hobby breeder living in Switzerland so the name of our breeding 'kennel' (actually our family home) is "Swiss Chinooks". If there could be either the Swiss flag or a mountain in the background (I don't want it to look like a toblerone ad) or something that "says Swiss" in the logo that too would be great because it is obvious from first sight. We have already bred our first litter of Chinooks in Europe and are now just about to welcome our second litter. We need responsible owners who are kind and will educate their dogs to apply for our puppies to have forever homes. I am not sure about colour (tawny is a sort of caramel/sandy colour but sometimes the coats of some Chinooks are a reddish brown) in the logo. I would even stick with black and white so long as the dog's image (silhouette or other ideas for a simple design) would be included in the logo. A fellow hobby breeder (Desert Sol Chinooks) has a great logo - simple but obvious. Clearly I do not want to copy it because it suits the location where those breeders are on the planet but I would like something similar (the gist of what they have I appreciate and connect with). I have 2 dogs (one with floppy ears and one with pricked ears) but there are Chinooks with 'helicopter' ears too (please have a look at the webpage "Chinooks in Europe" to see other dogs with helicopter ears. The Chinook is goofy, very affectionate but also has a 'pensive' look in its eyes, almost like it is pondering about life (which seems quite intelligent for a dog). It has a sensitivity for vulnerability so can also be a therapy dog and is very good with children and the elderly.

We are the only official Chinook breeders in Europe so the Chinook is not recognised as a breed nor known, which makes our existence much more difficult. Not many people know the Chinook exists.

Requirements

Must have

• Swiss Chinooks name, actual silhouette of my dogs (if possible, if looks ok with the proposed logo), if you use the Swiss colours must be red background with a white cross otherwise it's an ad for the Red Cross not Switzerland.

Nice to have

• if you use silhouettes, then please make these of my dogs as then people will recognise the Chinook silhouette. If at least the pricked and floppy ears can be depicted, that would be great (2 out of 3 types of ears that the Chinook has).

Should not have

• Toblerone looking mountains, Swiss airlines (no thank you), no kitsch please
