Logo Design Brief

We are looking for a logo for one of our elementary schools. We would like to incorporate est. 1953. Looking for a design that is more high school/collegiate, not "elementary cute." They are the cubs so they would like to incorporate a paw print. Their colors are navy blue and athletic yellow. Nothing too "kiddie" something more academic and private school like.
