Logo Design Brief

My boys have been selling hats with a custom logo. They donate proceeds to charity. We are looking to have a second logo. We are an outdoorsy family. We live in the mountains. Our hats are worn by adult men, women, and children of all ages. The logo must appeal to everyone. I included our initial logo.
I like the idea of having some subdued colours this time around. Different coloured horizontal stripes.
Rectangular shaped logo this time around.
