Logo Design Brief

Hello! We are looking for someone to create two, new logos for Mullett Lake Country Club (MLCC), and we want your help! MLCC is small club at the very top of Michigan - comprised of families who have been going to this same little slice of heaven for 3, 4, 5 generations!! While it's a small little club with a little shack on a hill, it is extremely special to those of us that have spent our lives there.
FIRST LOGO- We are looking for a simple logo that can go on the left chest of a polo shirt, hats, apparel, etc.. The logo needs to be able to pair with "MLCC," "1921," and "Mullett Lake Country Club". Logo must have personality and detail.

Some ideas/thoughts:
-The attached Tree1 image is the big tree on Hole 1. Do we use this as our logo? But we don't want it to be flat!
-Pine trees are very prevalent in the area.
-Do we make the pine tree the flag on the green instead of a real flag pole? Tree has to have a quirky personality, not just a boring tree standing alone?

SECOND LOGO- We are looking for a logo just using MLCC. Needs to be cool, fun, and hip-not too scripty or too modern.
I have attached the current logo and some fun designs we have used in the past, so you can get the feel of the club.

***Logos need to be able to be embroidered well!!!***
