Logo Design Brief

We are looking for a logo design for our newly established board gaming studio: Southern Mars Studios. We’ve chosen Southern Mars Studios as our name because we love the fascinating worlds games can create, the various themes and universes you can visit while playing and the nearly unlimited possibilities given by board games. The logo shall represent this inclusive nature, the fascinating universes, and the fun this hobby creates.

We are open for design approaches but want to have the following elements covered:
-        Include the planet Mars somehow in the logo, perhaps a referral to "south"
-        A combination of signet and wordmark or a signet only
-        Represents the fun but also the details and science aspect which are involved in creating and playing games
-        Loose and casual, but not too childish or playful. We are not creating games for children
-        If possible, provide a version with colors and a black one
